Data Analyst

The Team:
You will assist with the operational workflow by collaborating with two distinct teams (combined 40+ FTE) based in Mumbai. These two teams are chartered to deliver accurate, complete and timely data-sets in both Arrow Basic (AB) and Leverage Finance Analytics (LFA). As the New York-based member of Financial Data Management (FDM), you will work with the Business to ensure the offshore team members are best positioned to respond to customer needs and meet regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with the Data Office, notably FDM Data Stewardship and Data Quality Management, to produce high quality, complete and consistent data for the Corporate Ratings process.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison with the Corporate Analytical teams for data content management activities.
  • Provide contingency support to your Manager and be ready to cover cross practice requirements in all regions where we support these data exercises (notably North America, EMEA, APAC ex Japan/Korea and LatAm ex Portuguese.
  • Recommend improvements to existing business and system processes.
  • Assist with system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with technical resources with the goal of ensuring that the system design adequately reflects the business requirements.
  • Work closely with Data Office pillars and external teams to improve and advance the quality and timeliness of data provision to the Business.
  • Participate and lead data management projects and initiatives to ensure delivery of stated objectives.
  • Assist with analyzing, documenting an improvement of the current state business and data processes to ensure that the context and implications of change are understood by the project partners.
  • Support the design and documentation of data processes and workflows
  • Understand features, functions, and capabilities of solutions in order to achieve proper business requirements alignment.
  • Demonstrate your personal requirements-gathering and documentation skills
  • Assist with tracking, investigation and resolution of data issues raised from the support department.
  • Ensure that the Data Office is fully represented at the Analytical WWW meetings.
  • Facilitate meetings between the IT and business partners.


What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Expert with data management (non-development), data delivery, and project management
  • At least five years of work experience in data management and/or transformational project management
  • Ability to work well across organizational boundaries and quickly gain the credibility and respect of management at multiple levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with fundamental data (income statements, cash flow, return on assets)
  • Strong SQL or Oracle
  • Strong Excel
