Position Description:

As Director, Program Manager you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, deployment, rollout and acceptance of a Global Data Collection program , including requirements and scope of technical delivery, user acceptance, change management and training. You will oversee managers assigned to projects and work streams and create and execute a holistic program delivery plan.  Additionally you will manage stakeholder communications, including status reporting to Steering and Executive committees, and updates to Change Agents and Influencers.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and design the Program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolve issues and initiate the appropriate corrective action

  • Define the program's governance model

  • Ensure there is allocation of common resources and skills within the program's individual projects

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, respond quickly to issues by aligning resources and teams as necessary

  • Manage third party contributions to the program
  • Manage communications with stakeholders, including Steering Committee, Executive Committees, and all other stake holders

  • Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects

  • Drive and deliver high quality work/ output, including validation of assumptions and progress confirmation

  • Manage budgets, including external and internal spends

  • Create and manage a program plan, identify dependencies between streams and projects

  • Facilitate and influence cross project communication (in particular around dependencies)

  • Understand and track non-Core but interdependent projects
  • Understand the goals and objectives of the program, and identify and resolve scope creep
  • Work with or lead cross-team resources involved in an assigned project and complete tasks for successful completion of project.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a project / program management role. 
  • Experience managing/leading software products utilizing different technical platforms.
  • Experience of rollout of applications and subsequent support and enhancement models
  • Ability to synthesize multiple work streams and vendors into a single work plan
  • Experience of rollout to global users
  • Excellent project and program management skills. 
  • Stakeholder communication
  • PMI coursework or certification helpful. 
  • Understanding of product life cycles, creating specifications, designing mockups preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts. 
  • Ability to interface well with IT staff and other non-technical members of the organization. 
  • Strong organizational skills required to prioritize work and meet established deadlines. 
  • Must be self-directed and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Must be committed to exceptional customer service and support.
  • Must possess strong problem analysis and decision-making ability. 
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Understanding of Agile methodology preferred, but not critical
