As a Senior Data Researcher with the Data Office you will be responsible for the weekly Corporate default and recovery data operations and processes which support ratings performance research and reporting in addition to S&P Global Market Intelligence’s ratings performance product. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all business rules are followed and monthly metrics are completed. The candidate will be expected to work with internal data operations teams and technical teams to resolve any data inquiries or process questions. This work will include any enhancements to current processes and data testing as it relates to sun setting legacy processes.

The Impact: Ratings performance data is utilized internally and externally across S&P Global and the market for various risk management purposes.

 

The Career Opportunity:  The candidate will develop a strong understanding of Corporate ratings default data, reference data and ratings performance data. ln addition, the candidate will develop a strong understanding of S&P Global’s ratings process and business.

 

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years work experience in a financial services company

  • 0-2 years experience in data operations

  • Strong client service skills

  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access

  • Ability to work well within the context of a team

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Self-Starter, ability to work independently and make decisions

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or Business
