Associate – Market Data Administration
Job description
Market Data Administration, Index Data and Content Acquisition (iDACS) will support S&P Dow Jones Indices (SPDJI) centralized and growing function responsible for acquisition, utilization, and distribution of 3rd party content and services. Primarily focusing on the Finance & Administration pillar of iDACS, the selected candidate will primarily assist in the tracking, reporting and invoice processing for all 3rd party content that SPDJI subscribes. This position will provide support for global initiatives. 
  • Enter and reconcile all invoice information in Financial Information Tracking System (FITS).
  • Validate and Process vendor invoices using our Financial Information Tracking System (FITS) and internal A/P systems.
  • Create Purchase Orders for invoice payments as needed.
  • Monitor and respond to vendor inquiries on invoice payment status in a timely manner.
  • Use tools available in FITS and A/P to track invoice frequency and payment status.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with finance and accounts payable teams throughout the organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory in the Financial Information Tracking System (FITS).
  • Ensure all contracts are stored within FITS; review requirements prior to contract renewal.
  • Help maintain an inventory of terms & conditions and cancellation timescales.
  • Process requests to add, cancel or re-assign subscriptions due to terminations or changes within the business.
  • Submit accurate, complete and timely reports to exchanges and data providers
  • Implement and manage internal controls to ensure use of 3rd party content and subscriptions and services is in compliance with all terms and conditions
  • Assist in coordinating training sessions and virtual Vendor interactions with SPDJI user community
Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required with background in financial information and market data and/or accounting/finance
  • Experience with Data entitlements and vendor management systems a plus
  • Strong Interpersonal verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and team building skills. Must be highly organized and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to change.
  • Comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Must have strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to be highly responsive and present solutions to requests and issues
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Attention to detail, follow-through on projects and multi-tasking skills a must
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
