Position Description:
The Enterprise Technology Architect will primarily be responsible to develop, evolve and maintain the enterprise technology architecture, technology products and standards in support of evolving business and technical strategies and objectives.  Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution, Data and Infrastructure Architects to develop enterprise technology policies, principles, standards, blueprints and patterns to be used across S&P Global.  Will also serve as the technology champion for Enterprise Architecture working with the technical domain product engineering teams to ratify technical solutions at the Enterprise Architecture Council and refine/evolve the technology domain product roadmaps.  Provide architectural guidance, governance on projects and maintain alignment between business strategies and business/technical architecture frameworks.  An information technology professional with demonstrated architecture capabilities, a problem solver, and a strategic thinker; is adaptable to and drives change through thought leadership, education, communication, partnership and results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles and policies to guide EA decision-making.

  • Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and work with Enterprise Architecture leads and the Enterprise Architecture Council to recommend solutions for improvement.

  • Capture end-to-end current state and develop target state technology architecture and standards for the enterprise.

  • Create architectural technology and business roadmaps that result in stronger business/IT alignment and drive adoption and usage of technology across the enterprise.

  • Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of new technology capabilities and product standards.

  • Collaborate with technology domain product engineering to develop and communicate domain-wide policies, standards, guidelines and procedures and manage the technology portfolio and product lifecycle.

  • Establish architecture governance processes that enable the evolution of enterprise technology, manage exceptions and non-conformance.

  • Institute practices that guides the creation of application remediation plans to eradicate retired/obsolete/declining products.

  • Provide leadership on initiatives on enterprise technologies and platforms such as portal, workflow, publishing, SOA, caching, cloud and analytics, mobile and others and ensure adherence to standard technologies.

  • Establish compliance measures and reporting routines that monitors progress to drive business value.


    Your Skills:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

  • 10+ years of Information Technology experience.

  • Expertise with of Enterprise Architecture processes, methods, and frameworks, including proficiency in business process modeling and redesign, requirements management, and research tools.

  • Build architecture roadmaps, monitor industry trends and directions; develops and presents substantive technical recommendations to senior management.

  • Experience with a wide variety technology domains – application technology domain (such as business process management, portals, integration platforms, API management...), security technology services (identity management, encryption, key management…), Infrastructure technology services (servers, OS, storage…), DevOps, Cloud CSPs (AWS, Azure…), and other leading edge technologies.

  • Knowledge of Agile approaches to software development and able to put key Agile principles into practice to deliver solutions incrementally.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills with an ability to negotiate and trade-off technology options against goals and cost.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects/efforts simultaneously and prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
