The Role: Sr. Quality Engineer
The Location: Centennial, CO
The Team: External API team is responsible for client facing API that serves customers with millions of requests/day. The demand for content and usage grows every year. The team builds a scalable and robust solution for its customer. There are opportunities for innovation and learning new state of the art technologies. Quality is primary for the API as it is the fundamental source of data for many applications. The team is in geographically diverse location (NJ, NY, India, Denver)
The Impact: API is the primary data source to lot of internal products within the company. The use of restful API is trending among customers as well. Customers build their core products that depend on our API. We would be adding more content and features in the next few years. You will work with our distributed team to test the features in our platform and deliver timely.

Requires thorough technical, analytical and operational knowledge within the QA/software testing discipline. Accountable for test strategies to continuously improve the quality of our various products including build out of automation test suite.
Analyze product requirements and ensure the testing strategy is aligning a risk-based test approach mitigating risk exposure within all phases of testing; utilizing automated testing tools to continuously build automated regression test suite.
Collaborate effectively within scrum team working with both technical and non-technical team members. Ensure Definition of Done (DOD) is complete before signing off stories.
Implement improvements, which may require ingenuity and creativity, within quality assurance program and operational systems with measureable quality indicators of the product.
Understand the current server patch process in place for ATOS and IT Ops and align with business applications.
Build and maintain status reports to highlight state of patching, upcoming patches, impacts/concerns, etc.
Coordinate business application testing within QA for S&P Global strategic projects.
What We’re Looking For:
A minimum of 5+ years of solid experience in QA or application development
Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation.
Solid command of essential technologies: SQL scripting, Environment management (Databases (Oracle and SQL server) and WebLogic servers).
Experience in automation, automation frameworks and automation delivery is a plus.
Knowledge of TSQL (SQL server), included but not limited to SQL/UNIX scripting, JAVA, .Net and C#.
Bachelor's/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
