The Role: Associate, U.S. Public Finance – Transportation Infrastructure Group


The Location:
(Flexible) Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX / Centennial, CO / San Francisco, CA

We are a national team looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly. Ratings analysts are a key part of the success of the department and make meaningful contributions every day.

Responsibilities:
As an Associate, you will participate in the evaluation of the credit quality of governmental enterprises—specifically transportation—as it relates to their ability to repay debt obligations. You will be responsible for aggregating data and information to present to rating committees. You will interact with clients, make presentations, and prepare reports for internal and external distribution. This position will also include managing and processing large data sets.


What We’re Looking For:


Basic Qualifications:

• MBA, MPA, MPP or similar advanced degree preferred
• BS, BA in finance, accounting, economics, government/public policy, or similar field required
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience required
• A demonstrated interest in municipal enterprises and how they work
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well both independently and as part a team
• Strong ability to work with financial models and data, including cash flow and credit models
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with clients
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn in both formal training and on-the-job settings
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and juggle multiple priorities at once
