Position Description

The Impact: As the associate director and data steward, your role is to advocate for the document datasets to the business and develop associated strategies to meet business needs. This means developing and executing business strategies for data acquisition, preparing for and participating in project review and prioritization cycles, establishing and communicating expectations about the datasets to all partners, setting collection policies and priorities, being accountable for the quality of customer responsiveness, representing the datasets as the subject matter expert, participating in pre- and post-sales efforts, collaborating with operations on integration programs and the error guarantee, and a host of other related duties.

  • Ability to work remotely or within a Market Intelligence office location (New York, NY; Centennial, CO; Charlottesville, VA; Richmond, VA)

  • Opportunity to work on large projects spanning across divisions and business units

  • Lead both strategic and operational functions



The Team: Our team is truly a global team with 300+ members spanning multiple continents. As a senior leader on the team you will foster a highly collaborative environment and will be passionate about bridging partners and requirements in the formation and successful execution of business strategies. You will work within the context of a cross-functional team aligned between Steward Leads, Operations Managers, Product, Sales and its support functions, Marketing, and Technology.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business and operational strategies based on organization goals and business needs

  • Work with Operations Leadership to set and / or approve policies around sourcing and data collection.

  • Craft or fulfill reporting mechanisms and forums to educate and inform business partners.

  • Evangelize Filing and Sourcing capabilities to improve opportunities for scalable, sustainable, and lean methodologies for data acquisition

  • Partner with Product and Sales organizations to develop data strategy.

  • Establish and implement important metrics in collaboration with Operations Leads to achieve them.

  • Interact with users to enable them to derive maximum value sourced materials.

  • Organize and represent the team in project review and prioritization processes.

  • Own and lead Integration programs.

  • Has an in-depth understanding of the datasets and the downstream workflow and application in adherence with guidelines and policies.

  • Identify opportunities for continual improvements in both the delivery platform and operational performance and associated solutions

  • Monitors and analyzes multiple markets/industries and sources to aid in the development of the datasets in various product line.



What we're looking for:
Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience including data management in a financial market data intensive environment

  • Experience in leadership and direct supervision of large teams

  • Keen sense of urgency and focus on client delivery and happiness

  • Demonstrable leadership in groundbreaking project management

  • Shown ownership in developing, leading, and delivering on large scale strategic projects and initiatives

  • Solid ability to articulate ideas and gain consensus across varying levels within an organization

  • Referenceable history of successful change management

  • BS or MS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Systems Science, or Information Technology
