The role: Every single day, data stewards partner with coworkers, operational teams and technical teams as they generate and lead implementation ideas for improving the end-user product and content of the dataset. Serving as a subject-matter authority, you will possess a deep understanding of how the content is used by different client types in different product offerings.

The Location:  Charlottesville, VA

As one of three data stewards, you will work with many partners across multi-functional teams to align market practices, standard operating procedures, and to deliver the highest quality data product to clients.

  • Partner with Content Ops & Data Stewards leadership in building a comprehensive strategy to meet business and product requirements.

  • Assist client services in solving complex problems and frame an appropriate response to external clients.

  • Perform analysis to build an understanding of covered markets/industries and prepare reports against defined criteria.

  • Own and maintain operational and technical documentation used by multiple cross-functional teams.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluate client-usage to understand and improve product offering to the clients.

  • Partner with the front and back-end technology project teams to ensure the most relevant content is collected efficiently and with high level of data integrity.

  • Utilize SQL knowledge and expertise to research data issues in products and collection tools.

  • Conducts trend analysis in data quality to identify specific policy level improvements.

  • Prepare and maintain analysis on key success measurements, including dataset health documentation, and provide periodic updates to the senior leadership.

What we're looking for:
Basic Requirements:

  • Proficient in navigating relational databases (SQL, R, Python) and data architecture

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • 3+ years work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Systems Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with core Market Intelligence product offerings.

  • Knowledge of Public Ownership dataset
