JobDescription :

Key Roles & Responsibilities PERFORMANCE ENGINEER (LEAD I):

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience on end-to-end application development life cycle

  • Advanced understanding of LoB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design

  • Collaborate with business and IT to understand performance testing requirements

  • Develop performance test plan/test scenarios, specifying approach, strategy, architecture, environment, roles and responsibilities

  • Evaluate performance testing and engineering areas for improvement and recommend solutions

  • Advanced understanding of best practices and company policies when selecting methods and techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget

  • Experience with commercial & open-source tools

  • Expertise with multiple performance testing & server monitoring tools in the market

  • Expertise in numerous protocols(web, webservices, ajax, true client, etc.) & technology trends

  • Provide inputs to build performance test environment

  • Continuously monitor trends, participates in the evaluation of future technologies and makes recommendations for service, software and hardware upgrades.

 

Functional and Business Knowledge

  • Has in-depth knowledge of QA and metrics architecture processes

 

Problem Solving

  • Solve complex, non-routine problems and determine the best solution through cost/benefit analysis.

  • Determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.

  • Provide oversight when needed

 

Interactions

  • Work with other teams as a lead and/or member.

  • Create formal networks involving coordination among groups

 

Typical Scope & Impact

  • Contribute to the achievement of team and QA and Metrics Architecture objectives

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation

 

Minimum and Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent IT degree OR relevant work experience; Master’s preferred

 

Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree
