The Team/The Business:
As an integral part of our team, you are expected to make a personal impact right from the start. In the Analyst Development Program you’ll spend approximately 18 months working and training with business leaders that are market leaders in data, analytics and research that enable idea generation and decision-marking across the Financial Services industry. The Program consists of on the job learning and experience that includes certifications and evaluations over the 18+ month period. The Program begins with a comprehensive 2 month training curriculum focusing on a variety of areas including: Finance, Accounting, S&P Market Intelligence Platform, S&P Market Intelligence Excel Plug-in, etc.
After the initial in-class training period, you will begin to support clients over the phone, via web chats and emails. Beyond the client experience, you will also get a deep dive into our data/content and segmented customer details. Participants must successfully complete required certification exams along with a rigorous evaluation process that will test your skills and capabilities.
The program is built to provide on-the-job training and networking opportunities throughout the program to prepare you for a successful full-time career with us in Relationship Management or Sales (opportunities located in Charlottesville, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Toronto).
The program is structured in a way where the early job experience is the same however the final career choice is yours and the speed of your progress will be largely up to you. The program will provide you with a mentor and managers that will provide with you career development advice that suits your interests and strengths.
The Analysts provide professional and timely service for clients, distributors and internal S&P Global Market Intelligence staff in the areas of industry, content and product consulting. As members of our team, you will support top companies in the financial industry representing over $1.3 Billion in annual revenue to the firm. As an analyst, you will have a direct impact on clients’ perception of S&P Global Market Intelligence, handling approximately 10,000+ client issues each month. This 1:1 direct client contact is critical to contract negotiations and long-term revenue retention.
What We’re Looking For:
- An undergraduate degree in a finance related field strongly preferred as the incumbent must have solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles to resolve client questions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively resolve client concerns and promote S&P Global Market Intelligence product usage. Problem-solving, time-management, and organizational abilities are also required.
- US work authorization is required
- Preferred 3.0 + GPA
- Participants will be expected to work well within a team.
- Start date: January 2018 OR July 2018
