The Role: The news division of S&P Global Market Intelligence, a premier sector-focused daily news and information provider, is looking for a home-based freelance reporter with German language skills.
The Location: Home based, UK
The Impact: In this important role we are looking for a freelance reporter to help to establish and develop S&P Global's news coverage in the European Media & Communications space, contributing to the morning Daily Dose, a summary of news from around the European Media & Communications sector, emailed to clients around the world at 8 a.m. London time every weekday.
Responsibilities: The freelance reporter is responsible for scanning relevant media, news and reports from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and compiling short summaries in English to be submitted by an early-morning deadline of 6.30 a.m. UK time, Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays. S&P Global Market Intelligence news reaches an influential readership that includes analysts, regulators, lawyers, regulators, politicians and major players at well-known banks, investors and multinationals across the globe. The firm's massive database offers ample opportunities to enhance and drive that reporting.
Successful candidates: Will have a Bachelor’s degree, preferable in journalism or business journalism, combined with a solid tenure of business/financial reporting experience, preferably in the Media & Communications industry, along with fluent English language skills, plus fluency in German.
*Candidates will need to pass an in-house writing test prior to interviews with the team.
