The Role:  Data Associate – Ratings Data Inquiry

As our Data Associate, you’ll be responsible for tracking and responding to data inquiry and report requests directed to the Chief Data Office.  You’ll be collaborating with analytical, commercial and research staff to understand details of inquiries, gather reporting requirements and provide insight and expertise.  You’ll have extensive interaction with our Content Expert and Data Service teams to understand Ratings-related data nuances. 

The Location: Centennial, CO

The Impact: You’ll be part of a group of data professionals that will provide concierge services for all data queries within S&P Ratings.  You’ll provide essential information to our internal and external community.  The knowledge gained through this role will give you the background and knowledge to be a key contributor to the Chief Data Office. 

The Career Opportunity: You’ll work with a team of highly skilled individuals from various departments across the Data Office.  You’ll assist in growing this function as well as becoming well versed in all data managed by the Chief Data Office. 

The Team / The Business:  You’ll reside in the Data Inquiry team, within the Data Governance department of the Chief Data Office.  You will work closely with 2-3 offshore teammates, 4-5 onshore teammates and with multiple senior data experts within the global Data Office. 

Requirements:

  • Financial, Reference or Ratings Data Knowledge
  • Inquisitive and Collaborative
  • Strong understanding of Relational Databases
  • Strong SQL, Toad Skills
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate virtually with teammates in multiple office locations
  • Strong written and verbal skills, comfortable communicating with all levels of management
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
