S&P Global Ratings Services is seeking Director, Pega Workflow Application Development to provide technological solutions that enable the delivery of industry-leading BPM services using Pega PRPC for both our external and internal customers. As a team, we develop new BPM systems and processes, providing support for existing systems and assisting with the migration and decommissioning of legacy systems. The Director, Application Development as a Technical Lead will provide technical leadership and expertise in application development and architecture on the Pega BPM platform.

The Director, Pega Workflow Application Developmentat S&P Global Ratings organization plays an essential role in our reputation, transparency and ratings excellence.   This is a key position within the Workflow Development Services team that provides end-to-end workflow technology solutions for S&P Global Ratings. The Lead will be working in highly dynamic and creative workplace environment and have the opportunity to design and build applications based on the Pega BPM software and other technologies.

The Director, Pega Workflow Application Development will work on a shared workflow platform will be expected to have primary responsibility in the following areas:
• Software Architecture, Design, Development & Support
• Provide direction and guidance on reports and analyses and ensure recommendations are aligned with customer needs and capabilities
• Lead staff through the creation and maintenance of software systems
• Has in-depth knowledge of software development engineering processes and strategies.
• Provide guidance on routine to highly complex problems to subordinates
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
• Can work with other teams as a lead
• Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups
• Contribute to the achievement of Software Development Engineering and IT objectives
• Work on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors
• Technical Design/Development and Code Reviews
• Responsible for architecture liaison, design and development of business applications using PRPC V7.x.
• Ensures delivered work meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements as well as best practices defined by the team/organization/industry.
• Has an advanced understanding of PEGA PRPC V7.x tools and leads development activities in an Agile-SCRUM based work environment.
• Ability to translate business requirements into design/application builds and guide the development teams
• Performance tuning.
• Drives delivery of assigned tasks on schedule without compromising quality.
• Leads and coordinates with cross teams in the project and promotes the use of best practices and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering; Master's preferred
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 6+ years in design and hands-on development experience in Pega PRPC. 
• Pega CSSA / LSA certification is required. Pega V7.x experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate information and develop insights and solutions that meet business needs.
• Ability to lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus with various IT and business partners.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management.
• Should have hands on experience in developing PRPC / BPM applications.
• Good understanding and experience with integration tools and technologies such as Java, and Web services, ESB, JMS, XML, ETL in a J2EE environment. Java/J2EE certification is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of Unix (Solaris), web server (Apache), application server (WebLogic), single sign on technologies
• Advanced Oracle/SQL knowledge is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills needed.
• Strong experience in scoping, planning and delivering projects in agile methodologies over multiple release cycles.
• Lead a team of 10+ on-shore / off-shore consultant resources.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines; good decision making skills.
