The Role: Translation Industry Expert

The Impact: S&P Global is seeking an experienced and talent Translations Industry Expert who has a passion for providing solutions and ideas that support the creation and enhancement of translation and localization workflows for a dynamic global organization. The Translations Industry Expert will be working with a wide range of stakeholders on projects to coordinate the localization efforts across the organization.

Develop and Manage end to end localization process for all S&P Global divisions
Drive the globalization efforts across teams in collaboration with internal operations teams and customers.
Manage the relationship with clients and guide the communication efforts between internal teams and clients
Participate in localization planning efforts (collect project scope and other project specs that may impact the localization costs)
Work closely with S&P Global stakeholders to manage localization schedules for multiple projects
Ensure all projects managed by the team adhere to defined globalization and localizability best practices, and are of appropriate quality and delivered in the most cost-effective manner
Responsible for both tracking/reporting of key program deliverables – performance, quality and financial indicators.
Identify and quickly help resolve key blocking issues that delay localization production
Develop training plans and materials that support the translation/localization strategy requirements for current and future staff
Contribute to workflow
Travel, including international travel, may be required.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of Translation/Localization Project Management/Solution Architecture
Proven attention to detail with strategic thinking, project reporting, ROI development, analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven hands-on Program/project management experience and skills
Strong knowledge of globalization and localizability requirements as well as the localization process, tools (i.e. CAT Tools and Machine Translation) and issues on text/audio/video localization
Demonstrated ability to improve processes/procedures, contributing value to existing projects.
Proven ability to collaborate with global teams
Proven communication skills, both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
Ability to drive cross-group collaboration, ability to apply creativity, critical thinking and solution-mindedness in a dynamic working environment
Fluency in a second language a plus
